
Dr. Roy G. Lanz received his B.A. in Biology from St. Vincent College in 1968. In 1971, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Lanz entered into active duty with the US Army Dental Corp providing dental services to the 82nd Airborne Division and the Special Forces groups at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Dr. Lanz returned to his native Pittsburgh in 1974 and started his dental practice in Mt. Lebanon, Pa. Dr. Lanz has been in practice for 43 years and has been an adjunct professor at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine for thirteen years. During his time at the University, Dr. Lanz has been involved in organizing and implementing mission trips to Jamaica providing a wide range of educational opportunities for his students. In 2005, Dr. Lanz welcomed his son, Dr. Matthew J. Lanz into his practice to form Lanz Associates in Dentistry. Along with his teaching, Dr. Lanz takes numerous continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge in Dentistry.
Dr. Lanz resides in McMurray, PA with his wife of 42 years, Linda. His greatest joys are his children and grandchildren Ryan, Kaitlyn, Jillian and Murphy. In his personal time, he enjoys golf, puzzles, pilates, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
