Crowns
Caps, also known as dental crowns are restorations which completely cover dental implants and compromised teeth. Crowns are typically suggested for cases in which a tooth is either heavily decayed, had root canal therapy, contains a large restoration, or for cosmetic purposes. Our office provides all ceramic crowns for anterior teeth because they provide patients with optimal aesthetics. For posterior teeth, we use the newly designed all zirconium crowns because they provide excellent durability and maintain a more natural appearance than all gold or even PFM (porcelain-fused-to-metal) crowns.
Crowns that are maintained properly can typically last over 10 years.

Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are placed on the outer surface of teeth and bonded with a dental cement. Typically porcelain is used because it provides a natural appearance and good durability. Porcelain veneers are a more conservative alternative to crowns because they require less removal of the tooth's original structure. With porcelain veneers in place, cosmetic dentistry patients can expect a straighter, whiter, and more pleasant smile.
