
Dr. Matthew Lanz graduated from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine in May 2004. He previously received a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. After graduating dental school, Dr. Lanz decided to continue his dental education and completed a general practice residency in Youngstown, OH. His residency training included cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, advanced oral surgery, endodontics, medical emergencies, and pediatric dentistry. He is passionate about continued education and committed to evidence based practice. Dr. Lanz has served the University of Pittsburgh as a professor and continues to further his expertise by attending continuing education classes on the latest in dental technology and techniques. Most importantly, he has learned from the expertise of his father, with over 43 years’ experience
Dr. Lanz has been surgically placing and restoring implants since 2006. He has studied at the Misch Institiute for Dental Implantology. He has received a fellowship at the Misch Institute and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Lanz resides in Upper St. Clair with his wife Katy, daughter Jillian and son Murphy. In his spare time he enjoys golf, skiing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends. His passion for people and loyalty to the craft of dentistry lead to honorable practices in both his work and personal life.
